• Pics of My Yarden

Photos and videos I've taken at my house in Los Lunas.

Photos from before I moved in (left) and in May 2020 (right), after the landscape was installed in July 2019. Plants added to this part of the yard include desert willow tree (1), smoketree (1), blue grams grass (5), 'hot lips' autumn sage (2), lamb's ear (1, but it's BIG), lots of artemisias (4), snow in summer (5), red valerian (1), rosemary (1), 'Karl Foerster' feather reed grass (1), etc. Annuals grown from seed include sunflowers, snow on the mountain, larkspur, cosmos, and sacred datura. Weeds (not shown) include field bindweed and __*TBD*__.
**Also, those chairs serve as temporary shade structures for a newly planted eggplant and rose bush. Check out my Edible New Mexico Magazine article "Touch and Grow" about throwing shade (in a good way) in NM gardens.

Same corner as above photos, but this was taken on July 27, 2019, before rock, mulch, and the rest of the plants were added by a local landscaping team.
